Welcome to Rika ACE CIC

Rika Activities, Connection and Engagement CIC, or Rika ACE for short, was set up in July 2023 by Kai Mitton and Clare Smith, previously of Rika Bushcraft Ltd, with the support of the Board team.

 Rika Bushcraft Ltd was set up by Kai in 2020 at a small campsite in Warsop.

Clare Joined the company in May 2021 and shortly after we moved to our amazing 4/5 acre woodland site in Ravenshead.

We had our grand opening in August 2021 and haven't looked back.

Since opening we have made many changes to the site and the activities/events we offer as well as starting to work with various groups who were run by charities and CICs. 

It was working with these groups that made us realise the direction we wanted to take and led us to the more recent decision to open Rika ACE as a not for profit company to benefit the local community and the groups we are so passionate about working with and supporting.  

Our site has a large main campfire and fire training pits, a dedicated area for shelter building, green woodworking zone as well as the camping field, an archery range with us both being GB Archery instructors and a covered outside forge.  We are also lucky enough to have a toilet block with hot and cold running water. 

We offer a variety of bushcraft courses, archery and crossbow sessions and blacksmithing. 

Our sessions cover a wide range of ages abilities from Home Education sessions during the week, junior and family sessions at weekends, holiday clubs, birthday parties and other family activities to full weekend and week long courses and experiences for adults.
